Hayescott (TNR) and Pennacott (TNS) are located on the same site and can either be booked individually or together to accommodate up to 10 guests. Hayescott is a splendid, spacious house once the home of the schoolmaster at the neighbouring historic Old College, originally founded by Lady Percival in 1506 and now owned by the Landmark Trust. An ideal choice for family and friends to relax and recharge the batteries. The pretty garden is a particular feature and perfect for a summer picnic or an alfresco breakfast. Pennacott is a delightful romantic retreat, detached and tucked away within the grounds of Hayescott. This contemporary property has exposed beams and the glazed wall in the living room takes in the glorious views and leads to a pretty patio and private lawned garden. Hayescott and Pennacott can be booked together to accommodate a larger group. The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and magnificent scenery, with a well stocked local store/post office, village pub and a lovely old church. Just 5 miles from Widemouth Bay and the rugged North Cornwall Coast with its fantastic beaches, amazing scenery and coastal cliff top footpath. Bude, 6 miles, is an ideal place to shop, eat out and sample specialist local produce. The perfect holiday choice and an ideal location from which to explore this delightful area. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Rock are well worth a visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by. The wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are a must for walkers and nature lovers, and for a great day out Crealy Adventure Park, The Big Sheep and the famous Eden Project, are all within easy driving distance.
