Haddon Garden Cottage (PAAH) and Haddon Lake Boathouse (PFFB) are tucked away in the glorious 2-acre grounds of Haddon Lake House, voted one of the country’s finest gardens in the series I Own Britain’s Best Home & Garden. Presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was won over by this pocket paradise on the Isle of Wight. Adjacent to the owner’s home, with shared gardens and stunning lake, this beautifully restored idyllic retreat enjoys a superb location in the wooded Undercliff on the southernmost tip of the Isle of Wight. The front door opens onto a glorious Victorian walled garden that has been featured in national magazines, including Homes & Gardens. A perfect holiday base for accessing breathtaking scenery for miles of spectacular downland and coastal walks. Sailing, golf, fishing and horse riding are offered locally. Beach access 700 yards. Shop and P.O. ½ mile.

All on ground floor. Living room with feature stone floor. Kitchen/dining room with stone floor. Double bedroom. Single bedroom. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.

The garden which the cottage adjoins has featured in Homes and Gardens (Feb 2006), The Sunday Times (March 2007), the Lady magazine (May 2007), Ideal Home (June 2007), and was a main feature article in Country Living magazine (Oct 2008) and The English Garden magazine (Aug 2009), The Garden - RHS Journal (Dec 2010), Garden Style (Aug 2012) and Country Life (Oct 2012). The gardens have also been featured in books - Dream Gardens of England (published by Merrell) and also Exploring Britain’s Country Gardens (published by the AA).
