Located within an AONB, famed for its miles of sandy beaches, candy striped cliffs and spectacular sunsets, this large brick and carrstone house built in 1903 stands as one of a pair overlooking the green and boasts sea views from frontal aspect of property. It is just a few minutes walk from the sandy beach and centre of Hunstanton, a charming Victorian seaside town with plentiful shops, inns, restaurants and splendid sunsets - the only east coast resort to see them! Comfortably furnished throughout, with its own enclosed garden, this makes a popular choice for larger families and groups offering a warm welcome at any time of year. Excellent sporting facilities cater for young and old alike, including tennis courts, croquet lawns, bowling greens, an 18-hole golf course and watersports (in season). Within walking distance are the Sea Life Centre and the Oasis Sports Centre, offering indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two squash courts and winter indoor bowling. Brancaster,
8 miles, is a pretty coastal village with superb sailing facilities and the Staithe from which visitors may take a boat trip to visit the Nature Reserve on Scolt Head Island. Further along the coast is Holkham Hall, a splendid Palladian housing a fine collection of art and furniture and an excellent sandy beach backed by pine trees. Wells-next-the-Sea’s appeal is its sandy beach, picturesque quayside with small working fishing port, popular for its fresh shell fish, and town centre with shops and restaurants. There are also RSPB nature and bird reserves close by. An easy drive leads to the Sandringham Estate and museum, the magnificent holiday home of the Royal Family since 1861. Heading further inland, within an hour’s drive, are the famous Norfolk Broads, where daily boat hire and river trips provide an excellent opportunity to explore the expanse of waterways.
