Coast Cottage is an immaculately presented, traditional, terraced fisherman’s cottage with red pan-tiled roof and thick stone walls. Providing spacious, contemporary accommodation which has been thoughtfully furnished for comfort and ease and is only a few minutes walk from the old harbour and sea front at St Monans, the smallest of the East Neuk of Fife fishing villages. This quiet charming village, situated on a hill overlooking the Firth of Forth, has spectacular views across to North Berwick, The Isle of May and Bass Rock. From your front door you can explore the quaint streets and lanes, historic buildings, an old windmill that once powered the salt panning industry and an old 14th Century church, shops and restaurants, an award winning cafe and an excellent seafood restaurant overlooking the harbour. If fish is on your menu tonight, there are a number of sheds in the village selling freshly caught local sea food, or you can catch your own from the sea front! The Fife Coastal Path runs through the village, with historic castles, pretty fishing villages and many sandy beaches and coves to visit along the way. This area is famous for golf with more than 40 golf courses in Fife, from the famous fairways of St. Andrews to the more traditional links courses and beautifully landscaped parkland and heathland courses.
