Bell Cottage is situated right in the heart of Pittenween, one of the most attractive traditional fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife. Original built in the 1800s, this traditional stone built, terraced fisherman’s cottage, with its red pantile roof, has been restored and furnished to a high standard by the owner and has a cosy wood-burning stove providing great comfort whatever the weather outside. Stroll to the working harbour, shops, bakery, cafés and fish & chip shop and explore the quaint wynds and lanes. There are many historic sites and cultural events throughout the year, including the Pittenween Arts Festival. This area has many wonderful sandy beaches to enjoy and coastal walks with the Fife Coastal Path passing through the village. This area is synonymous with golf; the cottage is only 9 miles from the ancient university town of St Andrews and its famous golf courses and many other local courses close by. This is the perfect location for all ages to enjoy this area and all it has to offer. After a day exploring, you relax in the summerhouse in the sunny garden with a glass of wine. Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth all within an hour’s drive. Beach 300 yards. Shop and restaurant 50 yards, pub 200 yards.
