Nestling at the base of a hillock with lovely views across towards the waters of Loch Ness and the hills beyond, Squirrel Cottage has been equipped and furnished to a good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible. Just a few minutes walk from the ruins of Urquhart Castle, and within easy distance of the centre of the bustling village of Drumnadrochit, the cottage makes a central base for exploring this lovely part of the Highlands. The village offers some good restaurants, pubs and shops along with the Nessie Visitor Centre, where you can learn about the legend of the loch Ness Monster. Explore Glen Affric and Glen Urquhart to see the stunning scenery and perhaps walk or mountain bike through the beautiful forests. Take a boat trip or enjoy some of the many watersports available on the loch, or horse riding at the nearby centre. Further afield take a trip to Inverness, the Highland capital, only 12 miles, or the beautiful Isle of Skye. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and watch the ever changing scenery.
