Stunning views

Welcoming you in warm Mediterranean colours, this architect designed, split-level, holiday villa provides family accommodation equipped to a good standard. Magnificently situated between the shoreline and the hills of the Trotternish Ridge, Princes Point Villa enjoys a quiet secluded location in a friendly, rural, crofting community. Every window offers stunning views of Skye scenery. Sunsets over the Outer Hebrides from the picture windows of the upstairs living room have to be seen to be believed and a telescope is also available. Nearby there is a wealth of things to do and see and plenty to occupy all ages and interests. Steeped in Scottish history, this is where Bonnie Prince Charlie was rescued by highland heroine Flora MacDonald; her grave and monument are nearby. The Museum of Island Life recreates croft life from two hundred years ago. Much further back in time, Skye’s famous dinosaur footprints and other exciting finds are on show in the Staffin Museum. Walking in the area is almost unsurpassed and includes the weird rugged crags of the Quiraing. There is also fishing, kayaking, climbing and so much more close at hand. For nature watchers, this is the land where golden eagles soar, corncrakes call on summer nights and whales and basking sharks patrol the crystal clear waters. Portree, the island’s capital, is only a 20-minute drive, and has restaurants, lively pubs, gift shops, a swimming pool/climbing wall and supermarket. This is also the departure point for boat trips to see Skye’s sea eagles. Uig, 3 miles, is the ferry port to the Outer Isles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Lower ground floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 twin, 1 bunk. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Ground floor: TV room. Dining room/kitchen. Utility room. Separate toilet. First floor: Living room. 1 double (5ft) bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet.
