This detached holiday property is an architect-designed, eco-friendly house, situated in an elevated position in the peaceful scattered crofting community of Elgol on the Isle of Skye.
It commands the most outstanding and dramatic views from all aspects of the property, overlooking Loch Slapin, Cuillin Mountains and the small isles of Soay, Rhum, Canna and Muck – guests can enjoy the boat trip into Loch Coruisk (freshwater loch in the heart of the Cuillin) which sets off from the pier, 200 yards from the property. The area has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiasts, with some fabulous walking and climbing close by. Visit the Spar Cave, as it is considered one of the great wonders of Scotland.
Eagles are frequently seen in this area, as well as resident hares, red deer, otters and so much more in the way of wildlife.
This property is a good base to explore all parts of the island, which has so much to offer, including fishing, boat trips, kayaking, pony trekking as well as the opportunity to discover the many craft/art galleries for a more relaxing time and to be awestruck by the dramatic scenery. Evening diners may select 2 or 3 courses from the menu which often includes local shellfish and Highland venison. Impeccably presented, contemporary Scottish cooking served in peaceful surroundings, with lovely countryside views.

A favourite with tourists and locals alike, Sea Breezes commands an excellent waterfront location. Good quality contemporary food, freshly prepared and using the finest local and Scottish ingredients is the order of the day here.
The Kishorn Seafood Bar provides good quality food in a fantastic setting using fresh local produce whenever possible. The menu is primarily seafood, but it does cater for most dietary requirements. The fresh mussels come from neighbouring Loch Torridon.
The Three Chimneys is synonymous with good food and great dining, receiving EatScotland's Gold award for 2008/09. The Restaurant is set in a old crofters cottage, with beautiful sea views from many ground floor aspects.
Fun Days Out
It's hard to get up close to a nesting sea-eagle but at the Aros Centre you can have this experience with live pictures, from two remote nests at separate locations. An RSPB Warden will interpret the footage for you, explaining the life cycle of these magnificent birds.

This tribute to him is less than 30 miles from where he was born and spent his early childhood.
