Longford Town
Longford Town is a market town with a real buzz about it. Watched over for many centuries by the fabulous St Mels Cathedral, the spire provides a great reference point from wherever you happen to be. The northern part of the town straddles the River Camlin where a delightful riverside walkway accompanies the river as it flows towards Mall Park. In addition a section of the Royal Canal which stretches from Dublin to Clondra in County Longford is ideal for walkers and cyclists to meander along.
