Y Berllan (The Orchard) is a delightful bungalow situated in an elevated position to take full advantage of the amazing views over Borth, which has a four mile award winning beach with a submerged forest seen at very low tide, the Dovey Estuary and the Ceredigion coastline. As you sit looking at the stunning views of the sea, Cambrian Mountains, rolling hills and countryside, it will be hard to tear yourself away from Y Berllan; but luckily wherever you go in Ceredigion, wonderful views await you. The coastal towns and villages of Cardigan Bay are colourful and charming, still displaying their fishing and boat building roots. Lovers of wildlife or the outdoors will appreciate the abundance on offer from Red Kites to bottlenose dolphins and world class walking, cycling and mountain biking. RSPB Ynys-hir with oak woodland, wet grassland and saltmarshes is a haven for all types of birds and where you can watch them from the hides. Close by, the Dyfi Osprey project will equally delight nature fans.

Visit nearby Ynyslas sand dunes with waymarked boardwalks and visitor centre, appealing seaside resorts of Aberdovey, colourful Georgian harbour town Aberaeron, quaint New Quay and stately Aberysytwyth with a Victorian electric cliff railway, promenade and pier, or take the narrow gauge steam train to Devil’s Bridge and waterfalls. You can get acquainted with the history of lead-mining in the area including a trip underground, at the Silver Mountain Experience.

Pumlumon, pronounced “Pimlimmon” – is the highest summit in the Cambrian Mountains of mid-Wales and dominates the countryside of north Ceredigion. For centuries the wild summits, rolling foothills, and deep valleys have made this one of the least-known parts of Wales and today, the remote, peaceful atmosphere and lack of development are among the area’s greatest assets. The natural mountain lakes, old mine ponds and reservoirs of the Rheidol hydro-electric scheme, along with rivers and streams, provide a wide choice for the angler and some of the best brown trout fishing in the country.

A warm Welsh welcome awaits you, or "Croeso Cynnes" as they say, and at the end of busy days exploring the region, the village of Talybont is a just a couple of miles away from your holiday home, offering welcoming pubs with good food.
