This delightful, semi-detached holiday bungalow is located in the heart of the North York Moors village of Goathland, and lies just a stone’s throw away from the centre of the village where the TV series "Heartbeat" was filmed. It is ideally located for exploring both the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Walkers and cyclists will love the area and the famous rail trail from Goathland to Grosmont is just a few minute’s walk from the door. Alternatively, stroll along the river and follow the tracks to beautiful waterfalls. Board the steam train and take a memorable journey through the stunning Esk Valley. The well known war weekend event is a delight in Goathland and the village becomes alive with war veterans and enthusiasts dressed in 1940s costumes.
The ancient sea port of Whitby is just 10 miles across stunning moorland, where a family day at the seaside can be enjoyed. Famed for its connections with Captain James Cook, Whitby is also where Bram Stoker discovered Dracula. Step back in time as you visit fishing villages of Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes, where the hands of time appear to have stood still. A little further to the south are the more elegant seaside resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington, with miles of award-winning sandy beaches. The market towns of Pickering, Kirkby Moorside and Helmsley are just a short drive away and make a great day out. The stunning city of York is approximately 40 miles away with its historic homes, halls and castles, and Castle Howard, Duncomb Park and Rievaulx Abbey are easily reached. With so much to see and do, you may find yourself returning again and again.
