Victoria House is a spacious and comfortable apartment located on Arnside’s promenade, which enjoys splendid views over the estuary where the River Kent meets Morecambe Bay. Enjoy stunning sunsets and views over the sands towards the Lakeland Fells from the window seat in the first floor living room, or alternatively from the master bedroom which is kitted out with a telescope. Arnside is a haven for birds, and attracts all kinds of flora and fauna, including rare species of butterflies and alpine plants which have contributed to Arnside being designated as an area of scientific interest. Together with Silverdale, it is also a designated AONB, making this a great holiday base for those who love the outdoors. Activities available locally include fishing, golf, cycling and there are many lovely coastal and wooded walks from the doorstep, including those around the National Trust’s Arnside Knott and Silverdale’s ‘Pepper Pot’. The promenade is lined with several pubs, shops and cafes, whilst a wider range of amenities can be found in Kendal (11 miles) and Kirkby Lonsdale (13 miles). Due to its proximity to the M6, Arnside is well located for exploring Cumbria, the Lake District and beyond. Windermere is just 20 miles away, the city of Lancaster 17 miles and North Yorkshire 20 miles. Other places of interest within easy driving distance include RSPB Leighton Moss, Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland and the North West coast. For those guests who wish to leave the car behind, Arnside railway station allows easy access to Carnforth, Grange over Sands, Ulverston and Barrow. Shop 10 yards, pub 50 yards, restaurant 3 miles.
