Standing adjacent to the owners’ friendly pub, these cosy cottages provide comfortable holiday accommodation with a courtyard garden and private parking. An ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. York lies just 8 miles away and offers a wealth of world renowned attractions, including the iconic minster, National Railway Museum and Jorvik Centre, along with theatres, art galleries, traditional inns and tea rooms. Close by are the Howardian Hills, popular with walkers and cyclists and Castle Howard, a stately home and estate. Market towns can be found in Easingwold (11 miles) and Helmsley (16 miles), interesting abbey ruins at Byland and Rievaulx and the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington displays over 60 historic aircraft and vehicles. From Pickering (19 miles) visitors can board the famous steam train for a scenic trip through the stunning scenery of the North York Moors to the fishing port of Whitby.
