Thomas Turner’s Cottage is a quaint Victorian, terraced holiday cottage, which is located in Lavenham, said to be the finest medieval town in England. Lavenham offers heaps of history and character - explore the old square and take a stroll around the town, admiring the half-timbered crooked houses. The picturesque market place is home to the famous National Trust Lavenham Guildhall, Little Hall, as well as a host of shops, restaurants and a tourist information centre. If you wish to explore further afield, nearby Colchester, famous for being the oldest town in England, has a castle and museum set in attractive parkland that stretches down to the River Colne, a zoo and an interesting range of shops, restaurants, galleries and pubs. For a day by the sea, guests can choose between the sunshine coast of Essex at Frinton-on-Sea or the nearby Heritage coastline of Suffolk, where the beaches at Felixstowe, Aldeburgh, Southwold or Walberswick can be enjoyed.
