The villa is in an ideal location for a great family holiday or a long awaited family get together. Furnished and presented to provide home from home accommodation, the bright, spacious, airy rooms ooze charm and character. The large family double sized living room enjoys an open fire and views onto the side and front gardens through two bay windows. The study room has French doors which lead onto outside decking area, enjoying the all day sunshine. The back garden room enjoys a gas woodburner and also has French doors which lead onto the patio area and back garden. There is also a separate side entrance which is perfect for storing muddy boots. Britain’s first seaside resort, Scarborough has been welcoming guests for more than 300 years and boasts a cliff lift to take you to the South Bay. Here you will find all you need for a family day at the beach with amusement arcades, a wide stretch of sandy beach, fishing trips, sightseeing boat trips and donkey rides on the beach. North Bay stretches for miles and is becoming a well known location for surfing with board and suit hire available. Tea rooms, a fun fair and stunning views from the 12th-century castle ruins can be enjoyed. The open-air theatre hosts music festivals and plays throughout the year. An eclectic mix of shopping in the town centre with fine dining restaurants, the Rotunda Museum and the Steven Joseph theatre, you will be spoilt for choice. Travel a little further along the coast to Filey and Bridlington or visit the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Dalby Forest offers cycling for all ages, a visitor centre and ’Go Ape’ for the brave of heart. The walled, minster city of York is some 40 miles away but well worth a visit with the Jorvik Viking Centre, the Railway Museum and cobbled walkways with street entertainers for a more sophisticated day out. Historic homes, halls and castles abound from this area with Castle Howard, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Duncomb Hall and many more all easily reached. Market towns of Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley host the weekly markets along pretty cobbled streets, and from Pickering you can board the North York Moors steam train and take a memorable journey through the glorious Esk Valley into Grosmont and Goathland villages, made famous by the well-known TV series ’Heartbeat’. A little further along the coast is the historic town of Whitby, 20 miles, famous for it’s Abbey, 199 steps and harbour. Or why not just sit back, relax and enjoy the delights on offer at The Villa here in Scarborough. Shop 1/2 mile, pub 800 yards and restaurant 300 yards.
