This former pavilion house is set in the grounds of historic Killerby Hall which dates back to 1849. Just over an hour’s drive away is the old smuggling village of Robin Hood’s Bay - step back in time and explore the tumbling fishermen’s cottages which line the cobbled streets all the way down to the sandy little cove. Just a little further afield is the historic port of Whitby - famed for its connections with Captain James Cook and Dracula, it also boasts a 3-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beach. Visit the spa town of Harrogate with its RHS Harlow Carr gardens and Betty’s Tearoom which is a must, and the walled city of York with attractions for all the family including the Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum, JORVIK Viking Centre, the York Art Gallery, Richard III Museum, the National Railway Museum and the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall. Across the North Yorkshire Moors, a trip from Pickering on a steam train is the ideal way to view Heartbeat country.
