Perfectly situated within 400 acres of the owner’s grounds right in the heart of the Cotswolds, this detached holiday property, The Dingle at Manor Farm, is the most incredible location from which to enjoy and explore the beauty and attractions of the local and surrounding areas. Nestled away on Manor Farm in the middle of an AONB, guests will be able to enjoy every one of the unique aspects of the grounds. The property has been furnished to a very good standard and the family bathroom has a quirky finish with fossils in the decoration, which date back thousands of years. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and people who love to horse ride, there are many public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that criss-cross straight through the grounds and will take guests to many locations both near and far, from farmland directly onto the footpath to Rollright Stones leading to the Shakespeare’s Way and onto the Cotswold Way. The undulating grounds offer much to see and explore including a limestone quarry, a running stream, ponds, woodland and unspoilt natural countryside to wander through, which also includes a forest of white willow trees, from which the wood is produced for cricket bats used by world famous batsmen and cricketers across the globe. There are also plenty of opportunities to quietly watch the wildlife, mares, foals and horses in training that live on the farm and also, with an extra cost and prior agreement with the owner, the opportunity to take part in the Cotswolds Riding Experience (only on own horse or pony), with riding lessons, stabling, schooling and training provided by the owner, who is a world renowned horse trainer and at the top of her profession. For visitors without their own horse or pony, there is also the Cotswold Compatible Horse and Pony Experience. The popular Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton is only a short drive away or a walk across fields, as is Wyatt’s coffee and farm shop, as well as the famous Daylesford Organic Shop and Café, which sells top quality local produce and is frequented by the rich and famous. The owner will also be happy to arrange for the Cotswold Tea Set to visit the property if the dates are convenient. For guests wishing to travel a little further afield but still remain within an easy 30-minute drive, there is ample opportunity to visit one of the many phenomenally beautiful gardens and historic houses, Cotswolds towns and villages which are renowned for their character and charm. The Roman town of Cirencester, Burford, Witney, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Abingdon, Banbury, Hook Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water, Shipston, Broadway, Chipping Campden, the cathedral and university city of Oxford, Bicester Village and Designer Outlet Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare’s birthplace), Cheltenham, Blenheim Palace which is famous for being the birthplace of Winston Churchill are all must see places to visit, as well as Stratford-upon-Avon which is only a 40-minute drive.
