This renovated 19th-century coachhouse is a charming, detached, ‘upside down’ holiday cottage. The old stable door leads in to the kitchen/dining room, with stairs up to the living room, bedroom and bathroom. The property lies in a peaceful cul-de-sac within a fenced, gated area, and is ideal for pet owners. It is within a 4-minute stroll along a quiet lane to the amenities of Purton village, which has a corner shop, post office, library and a local pub and restaurant. Nearby is a hotel/restaurant and a lot of lovely walks.
The Coachhouse provides an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions within the area. Royal Wootton Bassett is a picturesque town which has retained much of its architectural heritage, and has many pubs, shops and amenities. Nearby, Jubilee Lake is to be found, where a wooded trail leads off to a steeply-wooded area, a popular spot for walkers, dog owners and anglers. Malmesbury dates back to the 5th century and is named the Queen of hilltop towns due to its position perched above the River Avon. The abbey and gardens are well worth a visit, and it is also the gateway to the Cotswolds. Bibury, once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds’ is just 30 minutes away. Stonehenge, Bath and Oxford are within an hour’s drive. Westonbirt holds the UK’s largest collection of trees and hosts many concerts throughout the summer. For retail therapy, the designer outlet village at Swindon is located in a disused railway station. The Cotswolds Water Park, near Cirencester, offers 40 square miles of lakes for wind surfing, sailing, canoeing and skiing. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Ground floor: Dining room/kitchen. First floor: Living room. 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Gas CH, elec, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing Machine. Fridge Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars). No smoking.
