Tancrey Cottage is set back from the ancient River Stour in Fordwich. Dating back 800 years, this period property, one of a pair, has been restored to a delightful standard and is decorated with a Christmas theme during the festive season. It is surrounded by natural beauty with landscaped gardens and is situated in the smallest recorded town in the UK.
This unique holiday property, adjacent to the owner’s home, also has access to private woodland, shared use of a heated indoor swimming pool (can be open air), with shower and changing facilities (by arrangement with the owner), and can comfortably sleep up to 7 guests. The compact kitchen and open-plan living/dining room will be the perfect place for any group or family to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

This is a great location for walks, exploring and for sampling the local ales in one of the two local pubs. Explore the historic city of Canterbury with its magnificent cathedral and learn about Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, or take a boat trip on the River Stour. Cycle the Crab and Winkle Way, visit the coast at Herne Bay or spot a seal and sample the oysters at Whitstable, 9 miles. Another enjoyable experience is to go back in time and explore the castles of Dover, Deal and Walmer. Good train connections to London. Golf 3 miles and beach 9 miles. Shop and pub 200 yards, restaurant 550 yards.

Spacious living/dining room with wood-burning stove, patio doors and compact kitchen area. Wooden floors throughout. Separate toilet. First floor: Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. Two single bedrooms, each with additional pull-out single (for +1). Further single bedroom with 4ft bed. Shower room with toilet.
