South Bay View is one of the most distinctive houses in Scarborough, designed and built by the present owners, the detached property sits in an elevated position along Filey Road. It commands panoramic sea views towards Scarborough Castle, South Bay and Cayton Bay towards Bempton Cliffs and Filey, and boasts direct access to Cayton Bay beach, a 5-minute walk along the road. A stunning holiday property with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for that long-awaited family get together or to celebrate that special occasion. Scarborough offers an eclectic mix of shops, inns, tea rooms, art galleries and museums. There are miles of sandy beaches, an award-winning sea life marine sanctuary, a working harbour and boat trips around the bay. Music lovers can visit the spa complex, home of the only remaining seaside orchestra, or Peasholme Park, which offers open air concerts and a variety of family activities, whilst the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre provides excellent evening entertainment. Further north along the Heritage Coast lie the smugglers’ coves of Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes. From the historic port of Whitby, visitors can board the famous steam train for a scenic trip to the market town of Pickering. There is easy access to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and Dalby Forest, with its numerous cycling trails (bike hire available) and forest adventure at ‘Go Ape’.
