Rowan Tree Lodge offers spacious, homely accommodation for friends or families and enjoys distant sea and hill views. This delightful holiday bungalow has a large, well-kept garden that can be admired from the small sun room to the rear of the property. It lies less than a mile from Cresswell village with miles of golden sandy beaches close to Druridge Bay Country Park. A popular family ice cream shop and pretty church are the centre point of this historic little village, which was once a thriving fishing village. Close by is the NCN Route 1 coastal cycle route and the area is popular with walkers and cyclists. Nearby Newbiggin-by-the-Sea has the only east coast offshore sculpture and maritime centre, as well as a sandy beach and lifeboat house. Amble, only nine miles away, is reputedly the friendliest port and lies further up the coast. An easy drive takes you onto the Heritage coastal route peppered with castles and friendly villages. Alnwick is easily reached, where a fine selection of pubs, eateries and cobbled shops, as well as its famous castle await.
