This is a delightful, beamed, period cottage, Grade II listed and understood to date from the middle of the 19th century. Overlooking orchards, it has now been thoughtfully renovated retaining many features. Battle and 1066 country are a short drive, with a wealth of historical sites, castles and stately homes. The village of Iden, in the Domesday Book, is close to the Royal Military Canal, ideal for a gentle stroll or fishing. Just a short drive from Rye and Rye harbour, renowned for bird-watching. Tenterden, 6½ miles, is known as ‘The Jewel of the Weald’. Camber and miles of golden sand 4½ miles. The tunnel for trips to France is a 45-minute drive. Shop/PO and pub with food ⅓ mile.
