Set in the heart of the Forest of Bowland, (AONB), this detached holiday cottage has been lovingly converted with great attention to quality of fabrics and internal finishes, all co-ordinated by an interior designer to create a wonderfully ambient atmosphere. Root Farm Cottage forms part of the stunning Whitewell Estate, which is owned by Her Majesty the Queen in her capacity as the Duke of Lancaster. The Queen last visited the estate in 2006 and it is known to be one of her favourite parts of the Duchy’s rural estates. The cottage lies within walking distance of Dunsop Bridge, which is regarded to be the geographic centre of the United Kingdom. An ideal location with walks direct from the door. There are quiet lanes for cyclists and challenging off-road terrain for the more adventurous. Wildlife abounds and a wide selection of birds can be observed. Clitheroe with its castle, 7 miles, enjoys a selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Shop 500 yards and pub 2 miles.

Living/dining room with wood-burning stove and kitchen area. Utility. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and en-suite bathroom with toilet. Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. Separate toilet.
