This superb, detached, spacious family home is in an enviable position with direct river frontage and panoramic views of the historic town of Arundel, including the cathedral and historic castle.

Plus, there are plentiful antique shops, galleries, pubs, tea rooms, ice cream parlours and restaurants to discover. For those wishing to enjoy a car free holiday, the railway station is about a 10-minute walk away. Enjoy wonderful riverside walks locally, or excellent walks along the South Downs National Park in the surrounding area.


Arundel is recognised for its castle and variety of historic buildings in a small area; there are around 500 buildings in this conservation area, and many are listed. The beautiful castle is referred to in the Domesday Book in 1086, and has been occupied by the Dukes of Norfolk and their families for over 850 years. The Victorian catholic cathedral was designed by Joseph Hansom, who also designed the Hansom cab. The River Arun winds its way around the town, and is a magnet for wildlife, with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre attracting some of the world’s most spectacular birds.
There are various seaside resorts nearby, with Climping Beach being only a 5-minute drive. Slightly further afield are the seaside towns of Worthing, Bognor, Elmer and Littlehampton. Bustling Brighton is within 40 minutes’ drive, with the ornate Royal Pavilion, The Lanes for interesting artefacts, plentiful theatres, art galleries, extensive shopping, the marina with harbour side dining, and many amusements for all ages along the beach.


Visit Chichester, with its beautiful, ornate cathedral, theatre, pedestrianised shopping, tea rooms, harbour tours, Goodwood and Fontwell racing. Also within easy driving distance, is naval Portsmouth with ships, Spinnaker Tower, and day trips to the Isle of Wight. In addition, various National Trust homes and gardens including Parham House, Amberley Museum and West Dean Gardens can all be enjoyed nearby. Also Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Petworth House and Amberley Brook are worth a visit. Golf, sailing, surfing, horse riding and cycling can be found locally. Beach 5 miles.
