Ideal location to explore the area

Tucked away along a country lane and within the grounds of a Kentish fruit farm is this thoughtfully converted barn. Enjoy your own slice of the ’Garden of England’ as the detached barn overlooks its very own orchard! The farm offers excellent walks and the fields border the estuary where guests can bring their own rod for fishing. There is a local golf course where players and their families can use the club house restaurant and heated indoor swimming pool. For the cycling enthusiast there are several cycle routes. The little village of Upchurch with a corner shop and pub is under a mile’s stroll and steeped in history, originally settled by the Romans, there is a haul of Roman coins from here on display in the British Museum in London, and Sir Francis Drake’s father was vicar at the local church! Further afield visit Rochester referred to as ’The city of great expectations’ because of its associations with Charles Dickens and a festival celebrates this in the summer and at Christmas. Visit Rochester and Upnor Castles, the historic Chatham Dockyard, Cobham Hall dating from 1584 or Kent Life Farm where you can feed the animals or children can let off steam in an indoor soft play barn or outdoor adventure area. 35 minutes’ drive to the Cathedral City of Canterbury with its cobbled streets and quaint shops. 50 minutes’ drive and easy access to the channel tunnel and Dover Port. Good rail connections to London. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living room with beams/dining room/kitchen with wooden floors. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin with sloping ceiling, both with access to bathroom with toilet.
