Merry (ref 28467) and Pippin (ref 28468) are semi-detached holiday cottages, situated within a courtyard setting and within the grounds of the owner’s home and adjacent working farm on the B4348. The properties are approximately 5 miles from the cathedral city of Hereford, with its Mappa Mundi Centre and chained library, shopping and theatre. Ideally located to visit the pretty market towns of Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, famous for its poetry festival, and Hay-on-Wye, renowned for its literary festival and known as the ’Book Capital of the World’. The area offers great walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golfing. The Forest of Dean has wildlife in abundance and many picnic sites, with Puzzlewood and Go Ape making for great day trips. Symonds Yat and Yat Rock, where peregrine falcons nest, are popular with climbers and offer stunning views down the Wye Valley. There are many places of historical interest to visit, such as castles, cathedrals and National Trust houses. Shop and restaurant 1½ miles, pub 1 mile.
