Parc y Gors provides family accommodation ideally placed for exploring the spectacular Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coast and the tranquil countryside inland. Cardigan and Cilgerran are 5 miles away, offering a choice of shops, inns and restaurants. Cilgerran boasts huge castle ramparts with inspiring views over a forested valley. Several farm parks are within a 40-minute drive.
Aberporth boasts a handful of shops and inns and a Butterfly Farm, while boat cruises are available from New Quay or St Dogmaels to take in a great variety of bird and sea life. New Quay, which claims to be the original Llareggub in Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood, the pretty harbour has a cobblestone quay and a small, curving beach. The lower town is home to the Heritage Centre and the Marine Wildlife Centre. One of the major attractions are the bottlenosed dolphins, which can often be seen frolicking by the harbour wall, and boat trips can be taken to further increase chances of a sighting.
