This charming 16th-century cottage was the former bake house in the charming market town of Beccles, which is situated in the Waveney Valley at the southern tip of the Broads, plus it has a wealth of original features and is beamed throughout. The end one of a row and adjoining the owner’s home, this holiday cottage is ideal for a romantic break or getaway, whatever the season. It sits close to the river, where guests can enjoy waterbourne activities, interesting shops, restaurants and inns. There are many attractions in the area – visit the seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, with its famous pier, beach huts and Adnams brewery, go bird watching at RSPB Minsmere, or enjoy walking and cycling at Dunwich Heath. The medieval city of Norwich with its cathedral, castle, fine shops and restaurants is worth a visit, and is within an easy drive or leave the car and hop on the train from the station, which is a short walk away.
