Little Thatchings is a classic South Oxfordshire thatched cottage nestled in its own garden with secret seating areas and small orchard, just off the village green. It has been delightfully furnished in ‘Arts and Crafts’ style and has a wealth of original beams - some originating from ships of the Spanish Armada which were broken up at The Wharf just down the road. Surrounded by beautiful walks, this detached holiday cottage is a short distance from the River Thames and thatched village pub from which to watch the cricket on the green. This village is famous as a filming location for ‘Midsomer Murders’ and is a wonderful base from which to explore Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Henley, Windsor, Stratford, The Cotswolds, or even London. There are numerous gastro pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages and small towns. Wallingford, 3 miles away, has a market, a farmers market, large supermarket, antique shops and restaurants. Or take a walk from your own front door down the old Roman road and across the water meadows to Dorchester Abbey which hosts a fine season of classical music. For small children there are two village playgrounds and the green provides a large area for ball games. Shop and pub 300 yards.

Beamed living room with open fire in inglenook fireplace. Snug with with wood-burning stove. Dining room. Kitchen with Rayburn (for cooking). Bathroom with roll-top bath, shower attachment and toilet. First floor: Three bedrooms: one double with 5ft bed, one twin and one single with cabin bed. Wet room (no toilet). Separate toilet.
