In a quiet location with lovely views towards the hills these two holiday properties are both detached, and offer an ideal base for those wishing to explore the west coast of Scotland. Taynuilt is only 12 miles from the bustling harbour town of Oban, where daily boat trips to the Inner Isles, including Mull, Staffa and Iona can be caught. The area is renowned for its abundance of wildlife with porpoises, basking sharks, golden eagles and wild deer often spotted. For those seeking an outdoor lifestyle, activities include walking, mountain biking, golf, kayaking and skiing. There are plenty of famous castles, beautiful gardens, historic sites and museums to explore. Bonawe Iron works, Cruachan Hollow Mountain, Loch Etive Cruises, Inveraray Jail and the Sealife Centre make for great days out. Fort William and Glencoe are popular for walking, climbing and skiing. Kintyre Peninsula and the Kyles of Bute are also accessible. Taynuilt village is set back from the shores of Loch Etive and boasts a small railway station, good bus service, and local amenities.
