Located in the heart of the North York Moors National Park and a short walk from the famous Cropton Brewery, these three of eleven holiday cottages (refs 29762, 29763 and 29801) are surrounded by 80 acres of open countryside and are set on a working equestrian farm. Daisy Cottage (29762) is a semi-detached cottage, The Granary (29801) is a detached barn conversion and Honeysuckle (29763) is a terraced property, all set in a rural location. Guests are welcome to visit the Friesian mares and foals wandering at their leisure. Landscaped gardens dotted with seating areas are an ideal place in which to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. An ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area, as the market town of Pickering is just 5 miles away, where guests can board the NYM steam train - sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery as it meanders its way through the Esk Valley into Grosmont and Goathland. Cropton Forest is ideal for cycling and walking enthusiasts, which is just minutes away from the farm. With quaint little villages dotted around the National Park, guests will be spoilt for choice. The ancient port of Whitby is an easy 18-mile drive, with Sandsend a little further along the coastline and a 3-mile stretch of sandy beach joining the two together. Take a step back in time and visit the smugglers coves of Robin Hood’s Bay and Runswick Bay - children will love fossil hunting here. Further south, the elegant seaside town of Scarborough, with a colourful promenade and two sandy bays, is perfect for family days out. For a more sophisticated day out, the minster city of York is an easy 40-mile drive and home to art galleries, museums and theatres. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
