Puzzlewood is located on a working farm and guests are encouraged to join in at feeding times. Onsite there are highland cattle, donkeys, Shetland ponies, pygmy goats, a pig, rabbits, ducks and chickens. The three cottages have been carefully renovated and have their own garden areas as well as shared use of the wider grounds and ancient woodland. The site is half a mile from Coleford with pubs, eateries, cinema and supermarket, close to Offas Dyke as well as Clearwell Caves, Tintern Abbey, Symonds Yat RSPB. Walking, riding, rope climbing, canoeing and many more outdoor activities are under 5 miles, along with steam and miniature railways, a butterfly zoo and many other attractions. Historic Monmouth and the ancient Royal Forest are all at hand and surrounding cities include Gloucester, Bristol and Cardiff. Elegant Cheltenham and the Brecon Beacons are approx 1 hour drive.
