This fabulous, mid-18th century, traditional farmhouse commands superb views over Harlech to the sea, over the beautiful Dwyryd Estuary to Portmeirion and over rolling countryside to the mountains of Snowdonia. Standing detached, it is beautifully decorated, double glazed and oil centrally heated throughout. Outside there is a lovely large front garden with patio area and fabulous views. The house is approached to the front or rear via steps. To the rear is a garden with patio area, as well as a wood store. The holiday property is approximately 1 mile from Harlech village and castle and is approached via a part-paved part-gravelled drive (unsuitable for low riding sports cars) over farmland, and the nearest neighbour is probably half a mile away. It offers an ideal base from which to enjoy walking in Snowdonia or exploring the region’s castles in Harlech and Criccieth and its fantastic beaches at Harlech, Llandanwyg, Black Rock Sands and Barmouth. Porthmadog has a centre offering rock climbing, riding, canoeing and fishing and there is a fascinating waterfront with a maritime museum. Across the harbour from here is the Ffestiniog Railway which runs through wonderful countryside. An easy drive from Porthmadog is the beautiful Italianate village of Portmeirion, probably best known as ‘The Village’ in the 1960s TV series The Prisoner, with forest walks, gardens and sandy beach. Within easy driving distance is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle. There is golf at Royal St Davids, Nefyn and Porthmadog. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
