Spread over three levels this beautiful townhouse is quirky and unique as well as charming and welcoming. The lounge and dining area is cosy and quaint and is situated on the ground floor. Packed with great features including exposed beams, a stone inglenook fireplace and cast iron wood burner, guests should find the accommodation welcoming and warm. The ground floor shower room is particularly useful and offers underfloor heating and a separate shower cubicle. The kitchen is on the next level up and has been well planned and finished to a super standard offering an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. On the next level up guests will find a very well presented twin bedroom and the master bedroom which offers exposed beams, views over the town square and a fabulous four poster bed as well as a private en-suite shower room. There is a small seating area to the rear of the property and also ample parking in the village square which is just a short walk away.

Renowned for it’s colourful history and thriving horse racing community, where top class racehorses are ridden daily through the village and up to the gallops, Middleham is set within the magnificent beauty of the Wensleydale countryside and is the perfect destination for guests of all ages. Ideal for a quiet romantic break, there are many top quality pubs, restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance and are all well known for serving good quality local food and produce. Once home to Richard III and known in former times as the Windsor of the north, Middleham Castle lies directly behind Foxtor House and is definitely worth a visit.

Perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers too, guests will find an abundance of established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead right from the village, leading towards and through the Wensleydale dales and vales. The scenery here is simply breathtaking. Guests will find themselves on a journey through heather covered grouse moors, open countryside, natural woodland and pretty, little Yorkshire villages.

Also the ideal destination for families, guests will find plenty of excellent local attractions that are popular with all ages. Only two and a half miles away from Leyburn guests will be able to visit the local chocolate museum, tea pottery and Tennants Auction House as well as enjoying a browse around the weekly local farmers market. The Forbidden Corner is also a must see and is situated just four miles away. This hidden folly offers twists and turns in all directions making it popular for children as well as the adults. The Wensleydale Railway stops in Leyburn and will take guests on a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Yorkshire Dales. Castle Bolton, Jervaulx Abbey and the Wensleydale Creamery can also be reached within a very short drive and offer different attractions and events for different tastes.
