This bijou, terraced holiday cottage is situated on the seafront in the picturesque seaside village of Portmahomack. This pretty, Victorian, fisherman’s cottage is a short walk from the village’s amenities, and just across the road is a superb, sweeping, sandy beach , with stunning views to the Sutherland mountains beyond. The small fishing harbour has a pier and a variety of small local craft. The village also boasts an excellent seafood restaurant, pub, cafe and a traditional links golf course which is open to visitors. The area is renowned for its archaeological sites, and at the nearby Tarbat Discovery Centre there is a fascinating display of Pictish, Norse and medieval artefacts. Tain, a 10-minute drive, is the oldest Royal Burgh of Scotland and is a charming, historic town with a wide variety of sporting and recreational facilities, including tennis courts, public gardens, golf club and bowling club. Other places of interest include a whisky distillery centre, the famous Falls of Shin and the enchanting town of Dornoch, with its magnificent cathedral, beach and championship golf course. Beach 100 yards. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 50 yards.
