Fair View is a lovely spacious bungalow, tucked away in a quiet lane in the small village of Skipsea. Situated between Bridlington and Hornsea, it’s the perfect base for families to visit the east coast of Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Wolds, made famous by the David Hockney paintings.

The bungalow has a lawned area to the front and a large enclosed private patio to the rear. A short stroll and you are in the centre of the village, which has all the amenities you would need with a shop, post office, pub, village hall and green. Skipsea beach is much quieter than the traditional seaside resorts of Bridlington and Scarborough, which are just a short drive away. They both have plenty of cafes, a spa theatre, bars and restaurants. They boast lovely sandy beaches with traditional donkey rides which are ideal for children.

Along the coast at Bempton, there is the RSPB bird sanctuary where you can see puffins and gannets in their natural habitat. This is the UK’s only mainland gannet colony. There are beautiful clifftop walks along the rugged coastline dropping down to little coves and back up onto the open clifftops, with spectacular views out to sea. This area is a hikers dream.

Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes; Sledmere, Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall are all close by. In just over an hour you can be in the centre of York, a beautiful medieval city famous for its minster and walled city, as well as the smaller historic town of Beverley only 25 minutes’ drive away.
