This stunning stone built cottage is steeped in history. It was previously owned by the Hambleton family and run as the Temperance hotel in 1901. Retaining many original features, the owners have lovingly brought this cottage back to life with the care and attention it deserves. Enjoy superb views from the front of this holiday cottage, overlooking the stream, and it is situated in one of the most stunning locations in the Peak District. Milldale, situated in the Peak District National Park near Alstonefield and Dovedale, is a tranquil, riverside village with a cluster of stone cottages, surrounded by steeply wooded hills. The village is mainly only visited by local traffic and walkers. As with many villages, Milldale grew from an early farming community and is now a popular site for visitors. With its stream, old pack-horse bridge and grey stone buildings it is extremely picturesque. Shop and pub serving food 1 mile.

Living room with wood-burning stove and wooden floor. Dining area open to kitchen with electric woodburner. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed and en-suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle and toilet. Further double bedroom. Bunk bedroom with TV. Shower room with toilet and sloping ceiling.
