This spacious detached cottage is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, only 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre of Kirkcudbright and has a private garden and covered hot tub. The town is known as the Artists’ Town, and it hosts a wealth of coffee shops and art galleries and is a short walk from the impressive ruins of Maclellans Castle. There are many festivals throughout the year including Scottish nights, classic car rallies, historic walks, a medieval fayre, a jazz festival and a spectacular Tattoo. Kirkcudbright sits on the edge of the Galloway Hills and on the estuary of the River Dee and offers many outdoor pursuits including fishing, horse riding in Galloway Forest Park, cycling and golf. Threave Garden and Estate is owned by the National Trust and proves to be a popular visitor attraction. Dumfries is approximately 25 miles east and Castle Douglas is 8 miles, making this a wonderful base to tour south west Scotland. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
