The mill and the adjoining cottage, occupied by the estate gamekeeper and water keeper, lie at the end of a private stone surfaced track which crosses water meadows. The delightful stone building is situated on a working farm and lies adjacent to the mill pond and river, and is surrounded by trees and grassed areas. It has been decorated to a very high standard, and is spread over three floors. The first floor living area benefits from a large stone fireplace and sliding doors leading out to a small balconied seating area overlooking the mill pond. The area around the mill is rich in both wildlife and plant life and offers ideal opportunities for walking, painting and enjoying a quieter, more relaxed pace of life. Dry fly trout fishing is available on site, on request by prior arrangement. The holiday property enjoys a secluded location on the fringe of the hamlet of Dinton, yet has easy access to the attractions and beautiful scenery of this part of Wiltshire: the market town of Wilton and Wilton House, home of the Earl of Pembroke for almost 500 years; the historical city of Salisbury with its magnificent church spire; the legendary neolithic stones at Stonehenge; the gardens at Stourhead (NT); the safari park and stately home at Longleat; the picturesque towns and villages winding through the Wylye Valley. Shop 5 miles, pub 2 miles.
