This beautiful, 17th-century, Grade II listed cottage in the centre of the charming village of Beeley, part of the Chatsworth Estate, offers a comfortable holiday home whilst retaining its character, with exposed beams and a cosy woodburner. With stunning views from the private rear garden and only 2 miles from the magnificent Chatsworth House and Estate made famous by the TV adaptation of Jane Austen’s ’Pride and Prejudice’. The cottage provides the ideal base for a truly splendid experience of the Peak District, from the Heights of Abraham, reached by cable car, in Matlock Bath to a tour of the deep caverns where the famous Blue John stone is mined and made into beautiful jewellery. Relax in one of the many coffee shops, the farm shop for fresh produce is a must, or take a stroll across the road from the cottage to the famous 17th-century inn, renowned for its food. Further afield and set alongside the River Wye at Rowsley is Cauldswell’s 19th-century working flour mill and craft centre. The lovely market town of Bakewell, made famous for its pudding, lies 4 miles away. Walking, cycling, antique shops, tea shops, homemade cakes, stunning scenery and more attractions too numerous to mention are on offer in this area. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
