Buxa Farm Lodges enjoy an enviable setting with beautiful views across open farmland towards Scapa Flow and the island of Hoy. Situated in 20 acres of waterfront grounds, the properties (refs 31139, 31140, 31141 and 31142), which are Visit Scotland 4* rated, make a super holiday base for exploring the many delights that the Orkney Islands have to offer. They have high speed satellite wi-fi and are within very easy reach of both mainland major towns of Kirkwall and Storminess, where guests can find a large variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, museums and historical sites. There are many wonderful attractions to visit in Orkney, including the Neolithic settlement of Skara Brae, Maeshowe, The Rings of Brodgar and Stenness. The Italian chapel built by prisoners of war and St Magnus Cathedral founded by the Vikings are just a small selection of the sites to visit. Nature lovers will be drawn to the area with its pristine coastlines, clifftops and marches, home to many species of interesting wildlife. Mountain biking, climbing, walking, bird watching, golf and a very wide variety of watersports are all available.
