Perfect for couples wanting a romantic escape in rural North Wales, Bryn Gwyn offers spacious and comfortable accommodation which includes a cosy wood burner and a four poster bed. Situated in the grounds of the owner’s home, this detached single-storey barn has been thoughtfully renovated whilst retaining original charming features such as exposed brickwork and oak beams. The property has its own private patio area and a good sized kennel.
The property is located in the small Flintshire village of Brynford and there are three pubs within walking distance. A wider range of amenities can be found in the historic market town of Mold, 8 miles, which is also home to the popular Theatre Clwyd. Situated within the Clwydian Range (AONB) along a designated cycle route and on the Welsh Tour route, there are some great cycling and walking opportunities in the area. There is direct access onto one of the public footpaths from the owner’s grounds. Other activities available locally include golf and fly fishing. Known as the ‘Lourdes of Wales’ with St Winefrid’s Well and Heritage Centre, Holywell is three miles away and also has a leisure centre with swimming pool, tennis courts and much more.
There is a lot to see and do within easy driving distance. The beaches of Prestatyn, Rhyl and Talacre are all within a thirty minute drive. Other places of interest included Denbigh Castle which is 12 miles, Bodelwyddan Castle, 16 miles, and Llangollen, 25 miles. Over the border you can get to the historic city of Chester, with its famous race course, excellent shopping and good selection of bars and restaurants within thirty minutes. An extra fifteen minutes will take you into Liverpool. Should you wish to venture slightly further afield, the beautiful Snowdonia is just an hour’s drive.
