This terraced holiday cottage is situated in a quiet residential area perched high above the town of Blaenau FFestiniog, but within a few minutes’ walk of the town centre, with its variety of shops, pubs and eateries. Wake up in the morning to stunning views over the mountains and surrounding countryside and in the evening, relax in the terraced garden. The town is renowned as being the former ‘slate capital of Wales’ with a strange, compelling beauty. Blaenau Ffestiniog is fast becoming one of Britain’s premier outdoor centres, boasting a range of activities from walking to fishing, horse riding, climbing and kayaking all nearby. Bring the bike and enjoy a lakeside cycle trail along Tanygrisiau Lake and a specialist mountain biking downhill route at the Antur Stiniog Centre. Guests can glimpse into the unique history of the area at the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, where the worlds’ longest zip wire is also based. On July 1st 2014 the trampolines in the underground chambers open followed, later on in the year, by a zip wire through the caverns. Travel on the narrow-gauge railway to Porthmadog and enjoy the stunning scenery. This is also a great base for Snowdon, nearby Betwys-y-Coed, the west Wales coast and Lleyn Peninsula.
