Historic Caernarfon (6 miles) is home to a majestic castle, golf, riding and a narrow gauge railway that winds its way through the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park. The pretty Island of Anglesey is within easy reach and offers many family attractions, water sports and superb sandy beaches, whilst Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon is home to both lakeside and mountain railways as well as a slate museum and the electric mountain.
