Overlooking the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, this Cotswold stone holiday cottage, one of a pair, offers spectacular views across the Nailsworth Valley and the Severn Vale, one of the most picturesque and unspoilt locations in England. A super choice for keen walkers, there is the Cotswold Way and many beautiful, shorter walks around the Five Valleys, with its tightly packed villages and surrounding woodland. There is direct access onto Minchinhampton Common from the house, and there are three pubs and a village store within walking distance. Rodborough and Selsey Common are also located close by, offering further wonderful walks and views. Briar Cottage is an excellent base from which to explore the Cotswolds, midway between Regency Cheltenham and Georgian Bath, and close to the beautiful town of Nailsworth and the famous, award-winning Stroud Farmers’ Market, which takes place every Saturday morning. Minchinhampton Golf Course is less than 4 miles away. The village of Painswick, known as the ‘Queen of the Cotswolds’, with its individual shops, art gallery and churchyard, is only a short drive away. Visit Woodchester Mansion, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Berkeley Castle, Westonbirt Arboretum, Royal Tetbury, Roman Cirencester, Badminton and Gatcombe Horse Trials. Local supermarkets can be reached within 2 miles. Shop and pub ¼ mile.
