Inverskilavulin is set at the foot of Beinn Bhan in the heart of Glen Loy with stunning views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor. This detached lodge has been architecturally designed and nestles amid the most magnificent scenery offering an ideal base for a relaxing holiday. The area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with Fort William, the “Outdoor Capital of the UK”, only nine miles away. Activities available nearby include walking, climbing, skiing, kayaking, canyoning, mountain biking and golf. The breathtaking scenery has been used as the backdrop for many well known films including Brave Heart and Rob Roy, whilst the West Highland Steam Train (seasonal) takes you past the Glenfinnan Viaduct as depicted in one of the Harry Potter movies. Short ferry crossings will take you to the Inner Isles including Rum, Mull, Iona and Lismore, or cross on Corran Ferry and explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. At the foot of Glen Loy the Caledonian Canal towpath is ideal for leisurely walks and biking, or there are numerous forest trails. The area is steeped in history with the Clan Cameron Museum at Achnacarry and many other historic sites and castles to explore nearby. Surrounded by an abundance of wildlife pine martens, deer, golden eagles and otters are often seen. Loch Ness, Inverness, Glencoe, Oban and the Isle of Skye are all easily reached.
Beinn Bhan can be booked with Beinn Loy CC511412 to accommodate up to eight guests.
