The breathtaking unspoilt countryside offers many outdoor pursuits, with 3 ski centres, numerous golf courses, fishing, watersports, horse riding, cycling, walking, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, shooting or stalking. Cairngorm’s funicular railway offers the highest mountain railway journey in the UK, with spectacular views of the ancient Scottish mountain landscape from the viewing station at the top. Landmark Forest Adventure Park has a superb tree top trail and a wild forest maze, whilst the Kincraig Highland Wildlife Park is home to the polar bear, both make for super days out. There are a variety of historic sites, castles and gardens to visit, or whisky enthusiasts can follow the famous Whisky Trail. The park’s vast mountains and moorlands stretch for miles and boasts a rich variety of birds, animals and plants, including red deer and golden eagles. Inverness, the Highland capital, Loch Ness, Fort William and Balmoral, the royal family’s summer home, are all accessible by car. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
