Situated in 2 acres of grounds at the edge of Abernethy Forest, this traditional granite-built holiday home welcomes visitors with its cosy open fires, supplemented by central heating. Loch Garten is just 4 miles away with its nature reserve and RSPB shop, and visitors are able to observe ospreys at their nest at the Osprey Centre via a link from a nest-side camera. The surrounding pine forest is rich in bird life as well as red squirrels and you can enjoy trails in the nearby woodland. For lovers of golf, there is a golf course just 100 yards from the property, or there is a championship golf course in Nairn where you will also find sandy beaches. Aviemore, the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park, is 12 miles away with a wide range of sporting activities including climbing and skiing. Canyoning, mountain biking and rock climbing can also be enjoyed with coaching at Full on Adventure. A little further is Newtonmore, 28 miles, with its living history Highland Folk Museum, which makes a great day out for all the family. Set in 80 acres, it brings to life the domestic and working conditions of earlier Highland settlers.
