This beautifully renovated, semi-detached holiday property is set just 55 yards from Hadrian’s Wall. Once a joiner’s workshop, it is now a contemporary and comfortable home. Set on the edge of Gilsland, a peaceful village within the Irthing Valley, on the border of Northumberland and Cumbria. With stunning scenery of Hadrian’s Wall and Northumberland National Park on the doorstep, Gilsland is a perfect location for visiting the numerous historical sites including Birdoswald, Housesteads and Vindolanda. Just a short stroll away, the village is well catered for, with 2 pubs, a charming tea room and the Gilsland Spa Hotel, where guests can also enjoy its restorative sulphur waters. Further afield, visit Kielder Water, the Scottish Borders and the Lake District, all easily accessible as the main Carlisle to Newcastle trunk road (the A69) is only just over a mile from the village, giving easy access to the M6 or A1.
