Woodland Cottage is a comfortable and spacious family holiday home, set within a mature woodland garden with its own resident hare and where red deer visit regularly also. Situated on the outskirts of Portree, Skye’s capital, in the scattered crofting township of Uigshadder. Pony trekking, quad biking, paintballing activities and a nine hole golf course are all very close to Woodland Cottage. It is an ideal base for touring and exploring the island. Portree has much to offer, many restaurants, good pubs, live music, art and crafts, boat trips from the harbour, swimming pool, climbing wall and a cinema. The island has many historical sites, St Columba’s Island, Museum of Island Life, Flora MacDonald’s Monument, Brochs, sites linking to the Jurassic times, Dunvegan Castle (the oldest habited castle in Scotland), gardens, distillery and so much more...For the outdoor enthusiasts there are all levels of walks from serious mountain climbing in the Cuillin to low level coastal walks; dramatic scenery, deserted villages, glorious sunrises and sunsets, so come and enjoy...
